Clementine and Two Pigs Leave

It was a gorgeous day
to haul a cow and two pigs to the butcher.

Elsie moved the gate and

Ben showed Clementine where to go.
She walked right in.
Well, okay, so she turned around once!
But she walked right in the second time.
So did the pigs.
It's been known to not go quite so smoothly sometimes in the past!

The pigs jumped happily out when we got to A & M.

Once the pigs were safely in their holding pen,

Clementine walked out of the trailer and into her pen.
Man that was easy!

Soon one of our freezers will be full of
hot dogs,
brats,
summer sausage,
pepperoni sticks,
pork sausage,
ground pork,
 sausage links,
and hamburger.

Mud. Just Lots of Mud.

It has been the weirdest winter weather-wise.
Lots of rain
and lots of warm weather.
But this week it got in the 50s and 60s.
The puddles are melting.
What fun to break through the ice when you are playing frisbee!

And everything else is mud, Mud, MUD!

The JD Is Back Home

On Friday
Ben and the girls unloaded the gooseneck trailer

so Ben and Jack could head down to South Central College
to get the JD 3020 back.

Luke had split it,
fixed it,
put it all back together,
and hid all the left over, extra parts. 😉

Hauling Nine In

Today was the day to haul nine of the steers out of here.

Eric came around 1:00.

Ben and the girls had everything set up and ready.

Jack had to do a little climbing before getting to work.

Hershey and Tess guarded us from
.....ummm
.....nothing really.

All things considered,
the loading went well.
It went especially well for the white one there.
He escaped and missed out on the ride today.
Next time, buddy!
