Injuries

A couple of weeks ago Ben and I spent a few quality hours in the 212 Urgent Care.
He got bit by a dog at work.
The waiting room is pretty empty at 10:30 on a Sunday night.
And Ben's fine.

And here he is tonight.
He punched himself in the nose.
HARD!
It wasn't intentional!
We may be laughing about this one for awhile!

The Storm Was Moving In

As it was starting to get darker this morning
with the approaching storm,
Hannah and I looked out the window at the same time
and both jumped up to run outside to get pictures.

It was moving in quite impressively.

 Who,
but God,
could possibly paint such spectacular colors?!

Luke got a magnificent picture at work too!

Walking the Cows in and Going for a Ride

Ben and I walked the cattle in last night.
I wasn't going to post this picture.
I took it just for fun.
But then I noticed the  helicopter in the background.
When I zoomed in to look at it,
I see it's really a dragonfly!
Pretty cool capture, if you ask me!

Hannah picked a gorgeous night to go for a ride.

Bales

Last night was another late night outside.
Luke did the baling last night.

Hannah drove the 3020 with the wagons
while Paul got a start on filling them
until Ben showed up to take over.

Then it was time to tie them down and head home.

Ben got them all lined up
except the 4 left on the wagon
in one with a flat tire.

Boy, is it nice to see that line-up starting to grow again!

Oops

Ben got a call while he was loading manure
for Paul to spread.
Luke had a bit of a problem. 😁

The 3020 and Dave's Ford didn't even budge it.

Then Ben arrived to save the day.

He pulled it out with almost no effort.

It looks like that patch of grass won't be getting cut for awhile.

The Jason Show

I got an email from Dazzling Dave on Saturday
asking about Jack's availability on Monday.
Dave was going to be live on The Jason Show on Fox 9
and he wanted Jack to go on with him.
Jack was all over that!!
So today was his big debut on Fox 9 TV.
What a great experience!
It's 7 minutes long but worth the watch.

Saturday Baling

Saturday started early, hot, and sunny.
Beautiful!!

Molly cleaned the cab of the 7400 after Paul washed it.

It had been a couple of hot, low-humidity days
so the cut hay was drying perfectly.
Luke, Ben, and Molly baled and stacked some squares from the Industrial Park.

Paul hauled them home with the WD.

Then Paul, Jack, and I stacked in the hayloft
while Hannah emptied the wagon.

They were incredibly perfect bales!

Elsie got home in time to help with the second wagon.

After they were done making squares
it was time to make some round bales.

Boy does it feel good to have a start!

Goat's, Cutting, Planting, and Stuff

 John

and Maxine

moved to Jeff & Shonna's on Thursday
to help cleanup parts of their yard.

Ben cut most of the Industrial Park Thursday.
Paul jumped in to finish it at the end
and then he went to cut a neighbor's.
Parts couldn't be cut because of standing water.

Ben cultivated and planted everything he could Thursday night.
Paul started planting when he got home from work Friday night.
Ben finished what he could when he got home from work.
There are still ugly bare spots from standing water.
After they finished here,
Paul, Luke and Ben went to Dennis's to plant for him.

Paul put a new light on the front of the shop.

Last night while Elsie and I were waiting
for Paul to finish fertilizing one of the pastures,
Hershey and Tess waited with us
and tried to convince an imaginary something
to come out of the tree.
