Needles Highway

Paul and I drove Needles Highway

on the way back from Custer State Park.

It's been years and years since either of us has been there.

It was well worth the drive!

We also stopped at Sylvan Lake for a few minutes.

We are home now
but we will return soon!

More Custer State Park

I can't help myself!

I just have to post the pictures

because I LOVE God's colors!

So here are more pictures

from the drive Paul and I took

through Custer State Park

Thank you, God,

for the pictures you paint for us!

A Rapid City Trip

A quick trip to Rapid City was needed.

But we made the best of it.

Paul and I drove out on Friday.

We checked in with Mom and Dad

and mowed the yard

and assembled a cabinet.

Sunday Paul and I drove to Custer State Park

and drove Needles Highway.

So be prepared for lots of pictures.

God's green is so green

and His blue is so blue.

I can't help but to take pictures.

More pictures to follow!!

It's been awhile since I made a post.

Internet at the My Place Hotel in Rapid City is NOT good this time around.

So I'll just try a short post and see what happens.

Last weekend Paul and the cattle fixed a gate that the cattle broke.

I got a cool sunset picture after they were done.

Hazy Chores

I thought this was a fun picture from last week.

Just a hazy, wet, morning chore time.

Burning and Taking a Break

Paul, Elsie, and Hannah had to work Monday (Labor Day).

The rest of us were at home.

We did more destruction and clean up work.

And then took a little break

to sit and enjoy the heat of a roaring fire.

We are making headway on getting the place cleaned up!

Cuteness, Cutting, and Cleaning

Let's have some cuteness first!
Basil is the calmest, most relaxed kitten ever.

The third cutting happened this week on our alfalfa.

Paul took three days off this week
so raking was his job.

We did LOTS of cleaning in and around the shed.
In the process Paul found some of his old camping equipment.
Molly and Jack got a lesson on lighting the camp stove and lantern.

Molly and Jack made breakfast on the stove Saturday morning.

Part of the cleaning up the west side of the shed

was moving some of the bale elevator to the hayloft.

Being somewhat of the adventurous sort

Tess hitched a ride.

She was just as calm as could be

and enjoyed every second of it.
