Cutting More Hay

Ben spent most of the day cutting hay.

 He cut four different places.

Yes, they put on pitiful faces
and someone always caves
and gives them a ride in the Viking.

Bales

It was a beautiful drying week.
The Industrial Park, Bracht's and our teff were cut earlier this week.

Yesterday and a little of today were baling days.

It was toasty
but not unbearable
like it usually is when we bale.

After the wagon was unloaded at the shed
Ben and Jack jumped on this wagon with Elsie and Molly for a bit.

It felt good to stop when the wagons were empty!

Everyone worked hard and slept good last night!

Stuffed Animals

It was 30* cooler today than yesterday!

Renee (my sister) and I spent most of the day together.
WONDERFUL!
One of our stops was a thrift store.
Once in a blue moon I buy stuffed animals for Hershey and Tess.
They LOVE them.

They don't usually argue over them though!
Today they both wanted Sponge Bob.

The Last of the Heat

Again,
there was some discrepancy
in the temperatures.

But at this hot
I don’t know if it matters.

It’s just plain
ugly hot.

But there’s always beauty in the colors.

God's Paintings

Paul worked late on storm work last night.

When he called he mentioned the clouds he was seeing.

So I took some pictures.

I just can't get enough of the colors

and beauty in the scenes that God paints for us.

What a beautiful present He has given us.

Looks like tonight might be a smaller repeat of last night.

Toasty Warm

I have a couple of different weather apps.
Ya gotta know if and when and where it's going to rain so hay can be baled, right?
But sometimes it's hard to know who believe.
 Was it just hot today?

Or really hot?

Bales and Colors

Part of today's work.
The boys did the baling.
God did the painting.

And now at 9:55 the last two people are in the shower and will then have supper.

I know they are sometimes naughty.
But mostly they are good.
And they are cute.
And the almost-sundown colors were too beautiful to pass up!

Tree Trimming

No one told us this was supposed to be coming.
We got .15".
5 miles south in Hamburg, Luke got .75" at work.
And 2 miles north they got nothing.

That put a quick end to planting and baling.

So tree trimming started instead.

It was super hot and humid.

They got lots done and will start again in the morning.

But now it is 8:49 and everyone is in for supper.

Baling

Three more fields

got cut, baled, and lined up

before the rains came again yesterday.

Cutting Hay

There are a few days with no rain in the immediate forecast.

The oats and alfalfa were cut today
and also Hillary's big triangle.

After Paul and I got the new screen door hung
we went to Waconia to pick up his car
that he forgot to bring home from work last night.
The sad thing is that it took us until 10:00 this morning
to figure out that his car was missing
and what had happened!

There was a short traffic delay on our way to get it.
But everyone crossed safely to the other side!

Broilers Are Gone

Oh Happy Day!
The broilers left yesterday morning.
I brought them back home in the afternoon in nice big packages.
And then everyone who bought them came to pick them up.
Mission accomplished.
