Two More Boys

 Two more big boys were born yesterday.

Ramona had Clem yesterday morning.

Then a few hours later 

Beatrice had Bonanza.

Luke and Ben are still working on the hay bine.

It's hard to find the time 

to work on the equipment 

if school and paid work 

take most of your time!

Fires and Calves and Chicks

Yesterday was 27*, sunny, and no wind.

What a perfect day 

to burn piles of brush in the field.

Lola was born yesterday afternoon.

Dallas didn't want to take care of her right away 

so we had to clean her up.

Dallas did take over eventually though.

Sometime before dawn

EllieMae had Hoss.

He is a big boy.

The post office called early this morning

to tell me our chicks were in.

We got 50 Black Stars.

Chisum and Audra

Oh no!

How could I forget to post that Chisum was born?!

He was born on Friday to Olympia.

Such a cutie!

And in the cold today

Audra arrived.
Hannah helped her stand so we could move her to the barn.

Ginger can finish cleaning her up in the barn

where it is at least out of the wind.

Marshal!

Marshal was born today!

Cheyenne wasn't interested in taking care of him at first.

So Luke got him wiped down a bit 

and Hannah drove them to the barn.

Hannah had to walk Cheyenne up to be with him.

No fears!

Cheyenne is taking good care of him now!

Miss Kitty Is Here

 Yippee!

Calving has started for the year.

The first one was 10 days early.

Phoenix had had Miss Kitty 

sometime in the wee hours of the morning.

We are going with names from old westerns this year.
