Silage and Drone Rescue

Luke and Ben chopped some silage today
 to start feeding the cows.

The WD45 sure comes in handy sometimes.

The cattle are loving it!

The drone got stuck in the tree today.

 It took a bit,
but it was successfully rescued.

Cutting and Relaxing

We followed Ben from one field to another
where Paul took over cutting for awhile
Wednesday night.

Hannah chose a great way to relax after a long day of studying.

Rain On the Way

After church Paul, Luke and Ben
went out to move bales before the rains.

I just went out to take pictures.

They got them all moved before the rains came.

Ben was heading down to the woods with a bale.

Paul and Luke drove the tractors and wagons.

There are now 64 teff bales

lined up in front of the woods.

 Mission accomplished.
And hopefully a third cutting to come.

A Busy Saturday

It was a day of many projects.
Paul and I spent too many hours
fixing one of the waterers.

We had to use some crowd control
when they were finally allowed back to it.

Molly learned how to weed whip.

Ben raked and baled our teff fields.

One of the wagons had a flat
so Elsie worked on that.

It always feels good to see this!

There were 49 bales off both fields.
Much better than we had thought it would be.

The one pasture was also cultivated again
and then planted to a pasture mix.

It was well after dark when we got in.
Lots got done
and it felt good to quit!

World Yoyo Competition Day 5

On the very last stretch of the trip we stopped at Lake Pepin
to see Laura Ingalls Wilder's home.

Molly and Jack had never been there before.

One last chance to yoyo before arriving home!

World Yoyo Competition Day 4

Sunday morning was time to move out of the motel
and head westward.
Of course, Jack had to yoyo on his new ripstick in the parking lot before we left.

We stopped at a couple of different places to see Lake Erie.

It was a gorgeous day
and we took our sweet time getting on the road.

We made it as far as Joliet, IL.

World Yoyo Competition Day 2

We stumbled across the home and library
of Rutherford B. Hayes on Friday morning.

The museum was insanely expensive

so we just walked around the grounds instead.

We finally made it to Cleveland!

Of course, Jack discovered another way to be weird!

We headed downtown
to the Renaissance Hotel where the contest was being held.

Very, very impressive inside!

We were told that the rooms are small and not so nice though.

Finally!
Jack's dream came true!

We were part of the Guiness World Record attempt
for the most people yoyo-ing simultaneously.

The record was 2000andsomething.
I don't think we made it.
But it was a fun attempt.

World Yoyo Competition Day 1

I haven't posted.
We haven't been home to do so.
So now I will slowly play catch up.

Thursday morning
Paul, Molly, Jack and I
were pulling out of the driveway at 6:59 a.m.

I didn't get pictures of Wisconsin or Illinois,
but I got Indiana

and Michigan.

We stopped in New Buffalo, MI for a quick peek at Lake Michigan.

After checking out the water temp
we headed to South Bend for our first night.
