Just Some Fun Calf Pictures

Ben and I did a barn check yesterday.
The calves were all napping until he opened the door.

Then they were so excited to greet him!

They can be such curious little creatures!

Kerusso was in the bunk
playing with a chicken when I went out today.

Isn't Nike a good looking guy!

Catching Up On the Last Six Calves

 Let's start with Sunday.
We had two little heifer calves.
Winona had Patagonia

and Alyeska had Adidas.

About 1:00 Monday morning
Alta had Tapout.
At 3:15 I called the vet.
At 4:15 she had finished putting Alta back together.
At 4:40 Paul, Ben, Jack, and I went back in the house to start the day.
Alta and Tapout are both doing great!

Later Monday morning
Nunie had X-scape.
Do you need to guess why he is named that?
Within a half hour of being born
he had escaped under the gate
and made it all the way through the steer pen
to the mud on the other side.

Snowbird had Kerusso Tuesday evening.

And finally,
Brighton had Nike Wednesday at chore time.

Sunday Afternoon

I went out to get some calf pictures on Sunday afternoon.
While a couple of knee-nibblers were working on me

several of last year's calves came to the gate
 to get attention
and watch the young ones.

We are incredibly wet after all the rain and snow.
I had to play with a reflection photo.

April 1

Happy April Fool's Day.
We got about a foot of fresh rain, ice, and snow.
Not funny!

The roads were the worst they've been in eons.

In just a matter of a couple of hours
we went right into full on Mud Season.

Ben did some manure spreading to clean out the pens.

 The EIT (Equipment Inspection Team)

was here this afternoon.

They were very thorough and quite picky, but we passed.

We ended the day with much of our new snow gone!

Louis Vuitton

Lovey had Louis Vuitton early Friday morning.
