We like to spoil the animals around here.

She's waiting for me to bring her her morning cup of coffee.

Happy chickens lay more eggs ya know!

Today wasn't quite as bad as yesterday temperature wise.

But the lack of wind made it feel worse.

Doing round bales in the heat isn't nearly as bad as small squares!

The second cutting of alfalfa is done.

We didn't get the rain that "they" said was going to flood us all out.

Not even a drop.

So instead it was a nice, hot day to make square bales.

First the hayloft of the little barn needed cleaned out.

There wasn't much cut,

but what was cut,

baled up nicely.

And got put up quickly.

The alfalfa field got cut too.

Today another, new, first-planting, field was cut for the first time this year.

We've been selling some of the 2 year old layers.

Molly is our Chief Chicken Chaser.

They don't stand a chance against her!
