We have been helping out a friend over at TheTomatoProject.net
Drip lines and tarps needed to be laid out.
And then 760 holes were burnt in the fabric.
Everyone worked hard.
Our Luke built a contraption to hold the drill
so Luke L. and I could drill standing up.
Once all the holes were drilled
Molly and Jack put the special transplant mixture
in every hole.
We all spent a LOT of time crawling around on our knees!
Several different varieties are going to be grown and tested.
I laid them out according to the special plan that Luke L. had set up
and then the crew followed behind planting them.
The final step last night
was watering each plant with another special mixture.
We planted 587 plants yesterday and left the rest for them to finish today.
And to end the post,
an adorable picture
that Elsie took.
