We aren't usually done chopping 

 

in time to cover the pile in daylight.

Usually it is loooong past dark

and we are trying to beat the rain.

We have been greatly blessed with both the corn and hay yield this year.

It always feels SO good to get to this stage

and then to have it done.

The wagons were returned to their rightful owner

and we all got an hour to rest 

before heading to bed 

and starting a new week.

The silage is done a full three weeks earlier than last year

and it feels great!
