Hauling A Steer In

The four big kids hauled one of the shorthorns to the butcher yesterday afternoon.
Paul and I used to be involved in the loading and hauling,
but now that the older four have pretty much taken over all things
farm and animal and crop related they do it all.

And the cattle know them so well that they don't spook at all
and usually load right up.

Kind of like this shorthorn did today.
He didn't cooperate for the picture though.

This looks more like late March than January 31.

He'll fill freezers for a couple of families.
