Finishing the Silage

While Ben was silaging Monday night,
Paul and Jack loaded bales from Hillary's.

The JD 3020 died in the middle of emptying a wagon.
The Massey was put into service.
But it wasn't hefty enough to start the pull.
So Hannah got in the skid steer
and pulled the Massey
until it could go on it's own.

Tuesday morning brought the end of silaging.

 Luke was at work,
Elsie was at school,
and Jack was golfing.
That left Paul, Ben, Hannah, Molly, and me to do the ugly work.

Thankfully, the wind was not horrible
while we were covering the pile.

You can see the dust blowing down at the end of the pile.

It was sure nice to get that job done!
