Starting Chopping

It's time!

 Saturday, after Luke got home from fire training,

and Ben got home from Larry's,

and Paul got up from a nap after working all night,

it was time to start chopping corn.

It's such a good feeling to be bring in a supply of winter feed.

And the colors!

How can you see colors like this 

and not KNOW there is a God?

These two!

Hannah took Ben and Jack to Larry's 

to bring the big guns home for packing.

The girls, Paul, and I 

picked up lots of dropped cobs 

and knocked down stalks.

Yes, we are the only people in the state that do that!

But why waste good feed!

And the cows and calves were very grateful!

The pile was starting to grow.

We finally called it quits 

and went in for supper at 10:30.
