Garrison Dam

 ...but we got side tracked again.
We were taking backroads 
and saw the sign for Garrison Dam.

We decided to head north a bit and check it out

since Paul was so impressed with it when he saw it

when he went to Minot on flood work

several years ago.

It's a drought year!

The spillway was dry.

Still impressive. but dry.

So we walked a bit by Lake Sakakawea.

Such beautiful blues!

This was the last of the blue skies for the trip.

From here we headed west again

and eventually made it to Dickinson.
