Our Short Trip to North Dakota

Paul and I left Early Thursday morning.
I think it was 6:30 when we pulled out.
Our plans were to go to Medora to the musical,
the Pitchfork Steak Fry,
and to drive through Teddy Rosevelt National Park.
Beyond that we didn't have anything planned.
We managed to find much more to do
and more than filled our time!

If we saw something we wanted to check out,
we stopped.

The first big stop was the Lewis and Clark fort in Washburn.

It boggles my mind to see what these early explorers went through.

The conditions that they knowingly and willingly accepted.

Eight men lived in this room for 5 months.
This was the place they stayed the longest.

The fort was built kind of in a triangle
with two store rooms for the back wall,
four rooms down each side,
and a palisade front wall with a gate.

After leaving here we headed for the hotel in Dickinson...
